Summary

Singh Sabha Gurdwara

Founded in 1988, Mascott Construction has carved out an enviable reputation within the construction industry for quality, service and flexibility.

Mascott have been central to the construction of the new Singh Sabha Sikh Gurdwara on Glasgow’s Berkley Street. This is the first purpose-built Gurdwara in Scotland and will provide an invaluable worship space for up to 1,500 Sikhs in the west of Glasgow.

Project

The Singh Sabha Gurdwara is not only Scotland’s largest Sikh temple, but also Glasgow’s largest religious building. The project was immense. Mascott contracted us to provide 1,100m2 of Flex Cote render to the exterior of the building.

Alongside our rendering work, we shouldered the responsibility of fixing poor workmanship on the project. This included fitting external insulation systems, straightening shuttering and forming arch profiles with EWI boards.

Results

We’re proud of the work we achieved in partnership with Mascott Construction. Here are some of the highlights from the project:

  • Five-week project
  • Over 1,000m2 of render applied
  • Consistent quality across all elevations
  • Additional responsibilities taken on
  • Project completed on-time
